Law and Policy Task Force

Submit an idea to be turned into a Ready to Adopt Law

Do you have your own idea for reducing municipal waste or inefficiency or other issue? If you follow the steps for building a constructive proposal from our Citizen Legislator class, submit your constructive proposal to our Law and Policy Task Force for review. Constructive proposals which can be adopted in multiple towns will be selected by the task force and developed into model "best practice" laws. In this way solutions can be applied beyond your hometown. Some have even become state laws.

Submit your idea to Heather Taylor at heather@thecitizenscampaign.org or call her at 732-548-9798 x1.

Robert Shinn, from Cherry Hill, submitted a Best Price Insurance Contracting idea to the Law and Policy Task Force and it was turned into a model law and is being used by municipalities and school boards to cut waste and has produced savings of over $10 million dollars.
