Newark residents are taking initiative to enhancing the property value of their neighborhood by working together in a no-blame, problem-solving fashion. Members of the Fairmount Neighborhood Association will be piloting a neighborhood survey in January that will be used to identify code deficiencies and public property maintenance issues around their neighborhood. The survey is a component of a larger neighborhood improvement package presented by the Newark Civic Trust to the City Council in October.
