A comparative analysis of the state, county, and municipal levels of government in the United States are offered. Particular attention is given to New Jersey government and politics, state party organizations, interest groups and electorate behavior, as well as the formal governmental structure. This course consists of classroom and Community Engaged Learning (CEL) components. During Community Engaged Learning (CEL), we will work with Citizens Campaign (A civic engagement organization) to incorporate Power Civics in solving policy issues using a “no blame approach” strategy.
